Eat Green and Save some Green!

OK so it is summer, we all want to eat healthy and save some money. So why buy processed food when you can go locally and buy organic, healthy and inexpensive food....yes veggies!!

What screams of summer and its green? ZUCCHINI!!!

Here an easy, fast and delicious Lasagna: prep time is only 15 min.

2 Tbsp of Olive Olive
4 Large Zucchinis, thinly sliced(length wise)
4 Large Tomatoes, thinly sliced
2 onions
2 tbsp fresh basil
2 tbsp fresh thyme

1 cup grated cheese(if you love cheese...add a little more)

Salt and Pepper to taste

Set your Oven to 400 degrees. Spread olive oil on the bottom of a flameproof gratin dish or a shallow casserole, arrange half the Zucchini over in the bottom, then half the tomatoes and half the onions. Add the basil, thyme, salt and pepper. And Half the Cheese. Then repeat.

Bake for 30 min or until tender and cheese is melted. Place in broiler for 3 min.

So this sound delicious, its GREEN and the best news it is only 264 calories per serving!!!

Try it and let me know what you think, I know I will be eating some greens on the weekend while I attempt a new green project! I will let you know how that comes out!!

Free Green DIY Wedding Invitations

So still thinking green I made a simple wedding invitation.. if anyone want's it just coment on it and I'll send it over... I would use some layering probably with brown or a darker green stock paper, and I would add some ribbon where the dots are... I'm sure that would make it look nice. If you want to give it a try you can get some neat paper at paper.com I'll send it on a pdf so you can change the wording if you like, it'll all fit in letter sized paper with cutting gides and all.

Our first week's challenge is GREEN!

Start creating! This week we are doing something that has to do with GREEN! it can be anything you did scrapbook page, quilt, fabric art, beading, a scarf, a picture, anything that was done with green in mind, use your imagination and thing out of the box!

When you have your proyect ready just comment on it and leave the page's link on it so we all can see it, the winners will get to be on our home page all of next week! so everyone that comes in can see it and comment on how pretty and cool and exiting you are!(Good for the selfesteem!)
